Eddie, "E.J." Crandell represents citizens living in and around the communities of Spring Valley, Clearlake Oaks, Glenhaven, Lucerne, Nice, Upper Lake, Blue Lakes and Lake Pillsbury. He chaired the Lake County Board of Supervisors in 2025 and prior to his election to District 3, E.J. served as a Lake County Planning Commissioner from 2016 to 2018.
He has resided in District 3 for most of his life, attending local schools and returning as a volunteer to coach high school baseball for many years. He holds an AA degree in Business Administration and served our country in the U.S. army in Operation Iraqi Freedom as a Sergeant with the 101st Aviation Division.
In addition to a number of key local committees, E.J. represents Lake County on multiple State and Federal level committees including the Rural Counties Representatives of California and the Farm, Ranch and Rural Communities Federal Advisory Committee for the Environmental Protection Agency. He also serves as Vice Chair for the Robinson Rancheria of Pomo Indians and previously served as Chair of the tribe.
There’s no substitute for experience and vital connections when dealing with the complex issues in the County as a whole and within District 3 - particularly when it comes to securing needed funding and resources. It takes cooperation and positive relationships within the District, the County and a complex group of state and federal agencies.
E.J. has worked hard to make sure District 3 is top of mind at negotiating tables across multiple disciplines, organizations and at some of the highest decision-making levels of government, also attending and supporting the work of the 3 municipal advisory committees – known as town halls – in District 3. His personal investment of time towards the safety and betterment of our neighborhoods, the highway 20 corridor, the lake and wildlands throughout the District is a testament to his unwavering commitment to the people who live, work and recreate in this most beautiful place we all call home.
“I’m running for re-election because there is still much to do – and because momentum is on our side. I am 100% committed to finish what we’ve started - my priorities are your priorities. Together we have accomplished much; together we will accomplish more. On June 2, 2026, I humbly ask for your vote.”
