Brad Rasmussen's Endorsement for EJ Crandell

I’m proud to offer my strong support for EJ Crandell for District 3 Supervisor.

EJ brings more than seven years of experience as a county supervisor, along with over three years of service on the Planning Commission. That kind of background matters—because in county government, the issues we face are often complex, fast-moving, and require thoughtful, informed decisions with limited time.

During the past year and a half, I’ve had the opportunity to serve alongside EJ, and I’ve seen firsthand the depth of his knowledge, his steady leadership, and his commitment to doing what’s right for our communities. He understands how county government works, and more importantly, how to make it work effectively for the people we serve.

EJ also brings valuable experience working with tribal governments. Here in Lake County, we are fortunate to have seven tribal nations, and maintaining strong, respectful, and productive relationships with each of them is essential. EJ’s background in tribal governance gives him an important perspective that benefits all of us.

On a personal level, I’m currently working on several complex projects with EJ, and I can say without hesitation that his experience and insight are critical to moving those efforts forward successfully. The same is true for the work he’s doing with other supervisors across the county.

It’s also worth noting that EJ has earned the endorsement of every current member of the Board of Supervisors. That speaks volumes about the trust, respect, and confidence he has built among his colleagues.

Experience matters. Leadership matters. And proven ability matters.
